Lake of the Ozarks Animal Hospital offers boarding services for all sizes of dogs & cats. Our staff want to make sure your pet’s stay at LOAH is safe and as stress-free as possible so that you have the peace of mind of knowing your pet is in good hands while you’re gone.

Small: Fits Chihuahua, Shih-tzu, Pekingese or similar (no larger than 20 pounds)

Large: Fits Golden Retriever, Labrador, Pit Bull or similar. Contains two spaces: a covered area where food and water are kept and a larger run for dogs to stretch out or play.

Extra-Large: Fits Great Danes, Mastiff, Malamutes or similar. Contains two spaces: a covered area where food and water are kept and a larger run for dogs to stretch out or play.

Boarding Dogs Enjoy:

  • Daily medication administration, including insulin

  • 3 potty breaks outside in their own private grass yards

What does my dog need for boarding?

  • Rabies, Distemper (DA2PPV) and Bordetella vaccinations are required. If your pet’s vaccinations are out of date we can update them during their boarding visit.

  • Leptospirosis vaccination is highly recommended for most dogs

  • Flea Free: Fleas found on your pet will be treated immediately at owner’s expense


What does my cat need for boarding?

  • Feline Distemper (FVRCP) and Rabies vaccinations are required

  • Feline Leukemia (FeLV) vaccination is highly recommended

  • Flea Free: Fleas found on your pet will be treated immediately at owner’s expense

Our dog boarding kennels are air conditioned in summer and have heated concrete floors in winter. There are three kennel sizes for boarding dogs:
